Weekly World News Report…? Haunted Warehouse?

(Following is partial transcript of an unpublished news article. The author and source are unknown.)

“If I were superstitious, I’d say this place was cursed,” employee says!

Those were the words spoken to this reporter by Edward Gottlich, regarding the rash of strange occurrences at the offices of Coyote Book Scavengers over the last two months.

“It’s strange. Ever since we lost Darius, things haven’t felt right. The lights go on and off, none of the computers are working properly, and a couple dozen books went missing. Everyone’s been sick lately, and I’ve had two people quit, claiming they felt like someone was watching them, or following them through the stacks. If I were superstitious, I’d say this place was cursed. Our head receiver even wanted to call in a priest. Says she thinks we’re haunted.” Gottlich laughs, though a little uncomfortably.

“If it keeps up like this, I might take her up on it. Just in case.”

(Reporter’s note: Was taping the interview, and intended to use the tape to finish filling it out; something corrupted the data, though. All I’ve got is static and weird, distorted voices that don’t make any sense. I’ll pass the file along for the techies to screw with. Maybe they can salvage something. Thanks, Ang.)
